For our job to work here at Ubuntu, we need the cooperation of the parents. We cannot always be with our children 24/7 nor can we take care of them over holidays. So it’s very important to us that what is going on in the home to align with what is going on at Ubuntu. 
There are home programs that the therapy department assigns as well as medicine that doctors prescribe and foods nutritionists recommend we eat. All this happens in the home. So this year we’ve made an emphasis on comprehensive home visits, meetings and seminars all designed to teach our parents how to best take care of our amazing kids.
SOCIAL WORK 2023
- We had a total of 239 Parents who attended training/meetings in 2023 for the purpose of better understanding epilepsy, prenatal care, behavioral management and Cerebral Palsy.
- We held an astounding 95 Social counseling sessions.
- We had a total of 19 different training sessions in the Community Schools.
