Katie's Time With The Kids.

In exciting news, we were thrilled to welcome Katie Anderson, a valued Tribe Member, to our community. Katie graciously spent time with the children at our school, taking the initiative to visit their homes and learn more about their unique backgrounds. She was truly touched by the joy and happiness she witnessed during the children's birthday celebrations, emphasizing how special it was to share those moments with our kids. For many of them, our school is the only place where they can experience such festivities.

During her visit, Katie joined the children in planting a tree next to the one her own family had planted back in June 2024. It was a heartwarming moment that symbolized the growth and connection within our community. We always look forward to having our donors witness firsthand the impact of their contributions. Meeting our donors in person is a highlight for us, as it reinforces the spirit of Ubuntu, which is centered around community building. Even if you don't reside in Kenya, you can still be a part of our incredible community. Our doors are always open, and we welcome anyone who wishes to visit us.

Before departing, Katie and a few members of our foundation staff embarked on a hike up and around the volcanic Mount Longonot to prepare for the upcoming 5K event on November 30th. The Mountain is in Mt Longonot National Park which we partnered to put a bench at the top to help raise awareness about disabilities and a great spot for hikers to take a break and enjoy the view. The hike is about 8.5 miles(13.5km) long and parts of the trail are super steep and eroded. The vertical climb is more than 2000ft (600m) reaching altitudes of over 9000ft (2180m) above sea level. It's a tough hike, but totally worth it for the cause and the amazing views at the top. We invite you to join us and Katie on the 30th, as we strive to raise awareness for individuals living with special needs. Feel free to bring along a friend or two as we continue our mission of inclusivity and support.
