The Ubuntu Life Foundation is dedicated to supporting children with disabilities through health, therapy, and education services. To show appreciation for their dedicated staff, they organized a retreat to the Olkaria Geothermal Spa in Naivasha. The staff enjoyed hydrotherapy sessions, swimming, and team-building activities. They also exchanged heartfelt messages and gifts, and received educational insights from a partner in the insurance and savings sector. The day ended on a high note with the presentation of shopping vouchers to celebrate the festive season. The foundation is grateful for the support of Chelsea Lernihan and proud of their staff's commitment to making a positive impact on the children's lives. They are excited for another year of growth and collaboration.

Ubuntu Life Foundation is dedicated to upholding the dignity of children living with disabilities by providing impactful health, therapy, and education services. With a team of 34 dedicated staff members, we are committed to serving children with special needs wholeheartedly. As the year came to an end, we wanted to show our appreciation for their hard work and the positive impact they have made.

On December 22nd, our staff had the wonderful opportunity to visit the renowned Olkaria Geothermal Spa in Naivasha. The day began early, with staff members preparing snacks as early as 5 in the morning. Filled with excitement and enthusiasm, the snacks were ready by the time we departed for Naivasha. Located near Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Rift Valley, the Olkaria Geothermal Spa offers a truly rejuvenating experience. Harnessing the region's geothermal energy, the spa provides visitors with therapeutic thermal waters that alleviate stress, improve circulation, and soothe tired muscles. Our staff had an unforgettable time indulging in hydrotherapy sessions, swimming, and playing water ball games, immersing themselves in relaxation and well-being.

Following the spa visit, we proceeded to Oloiden Camping Site Naivasha for a deliciously prepared lunch. It was here that our staff engaged in constructive team-building activities, including games such as "broken telephone" and "concentration is the game." These activities fostered teamwork and concentration among the staff. In the spirit of the season, staff members had previously picked Christmas cards for each other anonymously. They were tasked with writing heartfelt messages and purchasing gifts for their designated recipients, which were exchanged during the retreat. The event was filled with surprises and emotions as each staff member read out their personalized messages. Additionally, we were fortunate to have a partner from the insurance and savings sector join us to educate the team on the importance of savings as we entered the festive season.

To conclude the day on a high note, the foundation administration presented shopping vouchers to all staff members, spreading Christmas cheer and allowing them to celebrate the season in style.

We owe the success of the day to the incredible efforts of a donor and Executive Director of MIGMIR, Chelsea Lernihan. Her support and dedication have been instrumental, and we are forever grateful to her for making this memorable experience possible.

As we reflect on the year that has passed, we are immensely proud of our staff members' unwavering commitment to the children we serve. Their hard work and passion continue to make a profound impact on the lives of those in our care. We look forward to another year of growth, collaboration, and creating positive change together.
