In the month of October, we were able to do a 3rd medical camp of the year where the amazing Doctor Toshia, Doctor Ric, and Miss.Person, came all the way to Kenya to offer their amazing help to the neurology program. We pride ourselves at Ubuntu in offering the highest quality service at an affordable price, to anyone who would need the help. However, as nice as that sounds, that’s not always the reality that we find on the ground. At Ubuntu, we want top-tier medical service for all, not just the fortunate in Kenya. We however wouldn’t be able to do that without the connection of our amazing doctors.
Our program has patients who travel 4+ hours just to see our doctors and to receive their check up and medication, that is a testament to the work that our doctors and the visiting doctors do here in our community. The camp took place from the 9th to the 12th of October and they were able to see 150 patients, the doctors reviewed over 50 clients a day with specific neurological conditions that needed specific care. As you can imagine that is no small task so again thank you! Dr. Toshia and Dr. Ric led a training on Autism and ADHD. The majority of people in Kenya, don’t understand and are not well educated on Autism Spectrum disorders.
There were 43 people in attendance, and you could see as you glanced around the room the impact that seminar can have. Many came and commented to us that they love the feeling It’s not a death sentence rather being differently abled and the feedback from that was really encouraging to hear. Again we cannot thank our two doctors and Sara person for giving up their time to come help us. May God bless you, and may his favor shine over all your endeavors.
